Ladies and Gentlemen!
- Vietnam is a country with a long history and cultural traditions handed down from generation to generation, most notably the tradition of patriotism, solidarity and mutual love. It is that tradition that has contributed to preserving independence and self-reliance, building a prosperous Vietnam under many dynasties, leaving behind the most glorious pages in the nation's history. Unfortunately, by the second half of the XIX century, Vietnam had to face foreign invaders. Realizing the impotence of the feudal court, and promoting national traditions, all classes of people gathered forces to organize resistance against the French. However, due to the historical context at that time, there was no strong enough force, with a pioneering revolutionary flag and a sharp political theory to rally the masses, so there was no path for Vietnamese national liberation. In that social context, in the homeland of Nam Dan - Nghe An, on May 19, 1890, there was born a man who later became the savior of the nation - President Ho Chi Minh.
- In the late XIX century and early XX century, President Ho Chi Minh and his family left their hometown of Nghe An to move for Hue to live, work, study and participate in patriotic activities through the two periods: Period I of 1895-1901 (President Ho Chi Minh at the ages between 5 and 11); Period II from 1906 to 1909 (at the ages between16 and 19). More than ten years of living in Hue, the historical, social and cultural context of Hue, especially the learning process at the French - Vietnamese Dong Ba Primary School, Quoc Hoc School and the vibrant patriotic movements of the early century XX taking place in Hue, had a significant impact on his determination to go far and find a way to save the country and people, creating a turning point in his thought before the age of 20.
